From humble beginnings as a timber furniture producer into Australia as far back as 2002, S2dio has grown into an internationally recognised designer furniture manufacturer with offices in Australia, Indonesia and Europe, A major part of our business philosophy lies in the support of social accountability and the ethical management of raw materials from the surrounding ecosystems we use.
All wood used in our supply chain is certified to at least an FSC® standard to give our customers peace of mind that product manufacturing is in line with international wood forestry and conservation best practices In accordance with responsible forest management principles S2dio acquires old infrastructure and buildings and utilises the original teak found within those structures. We then salvage the material and pass it through a series of processes to make it suitable for outdoor use at the same time reducing the depletion rate of valuable forest resources while investing the reclaimed teak with renewed life.
